Trojan 50 Box Set – Out Now! The highlight of Trojan's half centenary celebrations this year is a super deluxe multi-format box set, which reflects the amazing diversity of the label’s output over the past 50 years. The Trojan Box Set series is a range of various artist triple CD box sets, periodically released by the British reggae record label Trojan Records since 1998. The series covers a wide variety of reggae subgenres, styles and themes.
The Trojan Box Set series are box sets released worldwide on CD & vinyl formats by British reggae record label Trojan Records from 1998-2007. Every box set was released in limited quantities and are now only available second hand. The entire back catalogue is of a uniform design being in that each release comes in a cardboard clamshell box with 3 inner card slipcases with liner notes and tracklistings on each side of the case respectively. The sleeve designs are also uniform, usually a colourful, distinctive variation on a generic design, with the Trojan Records logo as the central motif (except Upsetter, RAS, Creole Reggae and Reggae For Kids). The uniform titles are a standard Trojan Box Set (except RAS and Creole Reggae). Usually each box contains 50 tracks spread over three discs (except 12' with 35, and Reggae Rarities with 51). Rude Boy Rumble is a single record of hand picked tracks that are found elsewhere on the box sets.
It's more of a 'best of the box sets' compilation.
